The Disabled Drivers Association of Ireland (DDAI) is an organisation working for disabled people, promoting independence and equal opportunity through mobility, education and training. The organisations members are people with disabilities themselves.

 

Assistireland.ie – This website is provided by the Citizens Information Board. It contains information on assistive technology and a directory of products available from Irish suppliers for people with disabilities and older people.

 

People with Disabilities in Ireland – We bring people together locally and nationally to work on common issues that affect all people with disabilities.

 

Citizens Information –  This site provides information on public services and entitlements in Ireland. It is provided by the Citizens Information Board.

 

Neurological Alliance of Ireland – The Neurological Alliance of Ireland (NAI) is the national umbrella organisation for groups representing the views and concerns of those affected by neurological conditions.

Hyperbaric Hospital Treatment Trust – Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment (HBOT) involves breathing pure oxygen at higher than atmospheric pressures in an enclosed chamber. This process causes oxygen to be absorbed by all body fluids and by all body cells and tissues, even those with blocked or reduced flow. This increased flow of oxygen stimulates and restores function to damaged cells and organs, including those of the liver and brain.

Cerebral palsy is the most common type of physical disability in childhood.  It affects just over 2 children in 1,000 live births.  While a number of factors may contribute to Cerebral palsy, difficulties during very late pregnancy, during birth, or shortly after birth are all known as “birth injury” and are major cause of the disorder.
Our goal is to raise awareness globally for cerebral palsy and other birth injuries
